MISS DIASPORA GHANA

Yvonne Kofigah, born in Accra, Ghana, has always been captivated by the world of pageantry. Her journey began in elementary school, where she participated in inter-class pageants that sparked her love for performance and cultural representation. This passion continued to flourish during her high school years, where she proudly contested in her house's pageant, further honing her skills and confidence.

In 2008, her dedication culminated in her participation in Miss Malika, one of Ghana's most prestigious beauty pageants, where she earned the title of 2nd runner-up. This achievement opened new doors for Yvonne, and in 2009, she was selected by the Ministry of Tourism to represent Ghana at the Miss Tourism Queen competition in China. This international platform allowed her to showcase the rich culture of Ghana through traditional drumming, dancing, and an array of cultural expressions.

Now residing in the United States as a wife and mother, Yvonne has successfully transitioned her career while maintaining her passion for pageantry. Recognizing the importance of cultural connection, she founded Miss Diaspora Ghana, a pageant dedicated not only to beauty but to celebrating Ghanaian culture among women in the diaspora. This initiative empowers participants to reconnect with their roots and learn about their heritage while adopting social projects aimed at benefiting local communities in Ghana.

Through Miss Diaspora Ghana, Yvonne Kofigah embodies the spirit of giving back to society, merging her love for pageantry with a commitment to cultural education and social responsibility. Her journey reflects the belief that once a queen, always a queen, as she continues to inspire and uplift others through her work.
